My hometown, Kansas City, has been called many things…we are called The Heart of America because of our location.  My favorite would be The City of Fountains and my least favorite would be Cowtown.  Here's what Wikipedia has to say about Kansas City, Missouri.

Kansas City is famous for many things… the favorites being BBQ, JAZZ and the Plaza Lighting Ceremony that happens every Thanksgiving evening when the Plaza area is lit with over 80 miles of holiday lights.
